Breast augmentation: choose implant size

Cosmetic surgeons have been performing breast implant surgery for decades, and even though there were often negative side effects, women were willing to put up with them in order to have the larger bust size they desired. Some women choose to have implants because they are unhappy with their breast size, while others want to enlarge breasts that have shrunk after childbearing or to enlarge one breast that is smaller than the other.

Many different styles of breast implants are available ranging in size, shape, and texture. Selecting an implant of the right dimension and volume is critical to good results. Breast implant size and shape is determined by a number of factors, namely the amount of increase in breast size you desire and how much breast tissue you naturally have. At initial consultation, this usually enables the patient to communicate to the surgeon the general size they wish to be.
